The Kazantzakis Museum is located in Myrtia, Heraklion, the ancestral village of the renowned Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis. Its Permanent Exhibition features more than 650 exhibits, offering a contemporary and engaging perspective on the timeless and universal nature of Kazantzakis’ ideas and work. Visitors are invited on a fascinating journey through his life, words, and reflections. Through the Museum’s virtual tour, participants explore the world of Nikos Kazantzakis from the comfort of their own classroom or space. Guided by members of the Museum’s academic and educational team, they discover original manuscripts, letters, personal belongings, rare audiovisual material, as well as works of art inspired by Kazantzakis’ literary universe.
